Start with a title and exercise names

SteadyGym’s text format uses a heading for the workout name and a line for each exercise. For example, a line can describe three sets of eight repetitions with a specified load. The numbers below illustrate the format; they are not a workout prescription.

# Upper A
Bench Press: 3x8 @ 40
Seated Cable Rows: 3x10 @ 30

Check your selected weight unit before importing. Use exercise names that match the library where possible, and review any newly created custom exercises.

Add the details that matter to your plan

A rep range can be written as 3x8-12. Rest can be included on an exercise line, such as rest 90 for 90 seconds. SteadyGym also supports warm-up and practice sets; the in-app text-format reference shows the full syntax.

Keep the first import small. It is easier to check a short routine and add detail than to troubleshoot a large block of text at once.

Review before you start

Open the imported routine and check the exercise names, number of sets, rep ranges, weights, and rest periods. The import transfers the structure you supplied; it does not evaluate whether that plan is suitable for you.

You can edit the result using the routine editor. Add a schedule if you want the workout to appear in your week, then start a session when you are ready.
